Terms of Service

Last updated: 22 July 2026

These terms explain how Weblia ("we", "us", "our") provides website design and related services to you ("you", "the client"). They form a legal agreement between us, so please read them before ordering.

By placing an order, paying for a package, or using our website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't place an order.

1. Our services

We design and build websites for small businesses, offered as fixed-price packages. What's included depends on the package you choose, as described on our pricing page at the time you order.

Anything not expressly listed in your chosen package is not included. If you need something extra, we'll quote for it separately and agree it with you in writing before starting.

2. Orders & acceptance

Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract forms when we confirm your order — by email or through your account — not simply when payment is taken.

We may decline any order at our discretion — for example if the request falls outside what we offer, if the content would be unlawful, or if we can't meet your requirements. If we decline, we'll refund any payment in full.

We aim to contact you within 24 hours of a confirmed payment to begin your project.

3. Pricing & payment

Prices are shown on our website and are in pounds sterling (GBP). The price displayed at checkout is the price you pay for the package described.

Payment is taken upfront, in full, before work begins. We process payments through Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.

Promotional or launch pricing applies only while advertised, and only to orders placed during that period. We may change our prices at any time, but changes won't affect an order already confirmed.

If a price is displayed incorrectly due to an obvious error, we're not obliged to honour it. We'll tell you and offer you the correct price or a full refund.

4. Monthly plans

Some packages are offered as a recurring monthly subscription rather than a one-off payment. Where you choose a monthly plan:

Non-payment If a monthly payment fails and isn't resolved within 14 days, we may suspend your website and related services until the account is brought up to date.

5. Hosting & domains

Where hosting is included in your package or bought as an add-on, it's charged monthly and recurs until cancelled. Hosting fees are separate from any one-off build cost.

Where we register a domain on your behalf, it's registered for your benefit and we'll transfer it to you on request, subject to any registrar rules and outstanding fees being paid.

If you cancel hosting, your website will stop being served from our hosting. We'll provide a copy of your site files on request within 30 days of cancellation. After 30 days we may delete them.

6. What we need from you

To deliver on time, we need you to provide content, images, logos, feedback and any access we need, promptly.

You confirm that anything you give us — text, images, logos, or other material — is either owned by you or properly licensed for this use, and doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.

If we're waiting on you for more than 30 days, we may pause your project. If we're waiting for more than 90 days, we may treat the project as complete and close it, with no refund due.

7. Timelines

Any timescales we quote — including "live in 2–3 weeks" or "delivered in 7 days" — are good-faith estimates that assume you supply what we need on time and respond to feedback promptly.

Estimates are not guarantees and time is not of the essence. Delays caused by late content, slow feedback, third-party providers, or changes to scope will extend the timeline accordingly.

8. Revisions & scope

Where a package includes revisions, these cover reasonable refinements to the design and content we've produced within the agreed scope.

Revisions don't cover a change of direction after a design has been approved, additional pages or features beyond your package, or repeated rounds of change that amount to a new project. We'll flag it and quote separately if a request goes beyond scope.

We may decline requests we reasonably consider excessive or abusive.

9. Cancellation & refunds

Your right to cancel (consumers)

If you're a consumer in the UK, you normally have 14 days from the day the contract is formed to cancel without giving a reason.

Important — starting work during the cancellation period Because we begin work quickly, you're asked at checkout to request that we start during the 14-day period. If you agree and then cancel, you must pay for the work already carried out up to that point. If the service has been fully performed within the 14 days with your agreement, the right to cancel is lost.

To cancel, open a support ticket quoting your order reference (see section 19). Refunds due are issued to your original payment method within 14 days.

Cancellation by us

If we cancel a project before starting, you get a full refund. If we cancel after work has begun for reasons beyond your control, we'll refund the portion of the fee reflecting work not yet done.

Business clients

If you're buying as a business rather than a consumer, the statutory 14-day cancellation right doesn't apply. Payments are non-refundable once work has started, except where we agree otherwise in writing.

10. Ownership & intellectual property

Once your project is paid for in full, you own the final website design and the content we produce specifically for you.

We retain ownership of any underlying tools, frameworks, code libraries, templates and know-how we use across projects. You get a non-exclusive licence to use these as part of your website.

Third-party components — fonts, plugins, stock images, and similar — remain the property of their owners and are subject to their own licences.

Unless you ask us not to, we may show your website in our portfolio and marketing.

11. Your content & conduct

You're responsible for the content on your website and for making sure it's lawful and accurate.

We won't build or host sites that involve unlawful content, material that infringes others' rights, adult content, malware or phishing, harassment or hate speech, or anything designed to deceive.

We may suspend or remove any site that breaches this, without refund.

12. Third-party services

Our services rely on third parties including payment processors, hosting providers, domain registrars and analytics tools. Their own terms apply to their services.

We're not responsible for outages, changes, price rises or failures caused by third parties, though we'll do what we reasonably can to help resolve them.

13. Availability & support

We aim to keep hosted websites available continuously, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. Downtime may occur for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control.

Support is provided through our ticket system, available from our contact section and your account dashboard. We aim to respond within one hour during working hours and always within one working day. Response targets are goals, not contractual guarantees.

Where a package includes aftercare for a set period, it covers minor fixes and adjustments, not new features or redesigns.

14. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't legally be limited. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.

Subject to that, our total liability arising from the services is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

We're not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of data, or any indirect or consequential loss.

We don't guarantee any particular commercial outcome. Figures on our website describing results achieved by other clients are illustrative, not promises about your results. Search engine rankings in particular depend on factors outside our control.

15. Data protection

We handle personal data in line with UK data protection law. We collect what we need to provide the service — your name, email, order details and support messages.

Card details are handled by Stripe and never stored on our systems.

Where we process personal data on your behalf (for example, enquiries submitted through your website), you're the data controller and we're the processor, and we'll act on your reasonable instructions.

See our Privacy Policy for full detail on what we collect, why, and your rights.

16. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or end our services if you breach these terms, if payment fails and isn't resolved, if you're abusive to our team, or if continuing would expose us to legal risk.

Where we end services for one of these reasons, no refund is due for work already carried out.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on our website when you place an order is the one that applies to that order.

For ongoing monthly plans, we'll give reasonable notice of material changes. Continuing to use the service after that counts as acceptance.

18. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may bring proceedings in your local courts.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.

19. Contact us

The quickest way to reach us — including to cancel an order, ask about these terms, or raise any issue — is to open a support ticket. Tickets go straight to our team and start a live chat you can return to at any time.

Open a support ticket Start a conversation from our contact section, or from your account dashboard if you have an account. You'll get a ticket reference and a live chat thread. We aim to reply within one hour during working hours, and always within one working day.

Cancelling an order: open a ticket quoting your order reference (it starts with WEB- and is shown on your receipt and in your dashboard). A cancellation request submitted through a ticket is treated as formal written notice, and the time it's submitted is the time we use for the 14-day cancellation period.

Keep hold of your ticket reference — it's your record of when you contacted us.
